Living With SolarClarity before commitment.

For solar installation businesses

Bring your experience.
Build a partnership.

Apply to work with Living With Solar. We’re inviting experienced solar installers who can document their work, provide applicable contractor credentials and help homeowners compare clear, written proposals.

Apply as an installer ↗

Application review required. No automatic listing or guaranteed referrals.

A homeowner-focused partnership

Clear proposals. Accountable service.

Introduce your business

Share the areas you serve, your installation experience and the services you provide. If approved, a profile can explain your capabilities and the scope and date of any checks.

Discuss relevant enquiries

Accepted partners can discuss referral opportunities for their service areas. Availability and enquiry volume vary. Commercial terms must be agreed separately before referrals begin.

Contribute real experience

Offer permission-cleared project examples or technical insights. Editorial contributions are assessed separately; partnership does not automatically confer expert-review status.

Before you apply

What we need to review.

01 / EXPERIENCE

Two years or more

The owner or technical lead should have at least two years of relevant solar experience. Identify that person, their role, experience and the business’s operating history separately.

02 / PROJECTS

Completed installations

Provide project examples with approximate completion dates, city, system size and your role. Use public portfolio links or redacted summaries. We may request references with permission.

03 / CREDENTIALS

Applicable active licences

Identify the legal business, licence holder, licence number, issuing authority and expiry. Where another licensed contractor performs electrical work, identify that contractor and the relationship.

04 / COVERAGE

Insurance & service areas

Be ready to provide current insurance evidence. Specify states, cities and ZIP codes you actually serve, and whether employees or subcontractors perform the work.

05 / CUSTOMER CARE

Written terms and support

Explain equipment choices, cash and financing costs, production assumptions, warranty exclusions, permits and utility approval responsibilities in writing.

06 / TRANSPARENCY

Honest claims and data handling

Disclose material complaints or licence restrictions. Respect the purpose of each homeowner request and applicable contact rules. Do not resell enquiry details or make unsupported savings promises.

These are Living With Solar’s application standards, not a substitute for legal requirements. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and activity. For Texas, consult TDLR licence verification and solar retailer guidance and exemptions. Certifications do not replace a required contractor licence.

How onboarding works

Apply first. Review before referrals.

01

Submit your application

Complete the form below. Your details go to the Living With Solar team for partnership review.

02

Supply review evidence

We may follow up for licence, insurance, project and reference evidence. Applicants should be assessed against the published requirements before acceptance.

03

Agree the partnership

If accepted, agree service areas, referral terms, data handling and any public profile before activation. Maintain current credentials and tell us about material changes.

Installer registration

Tell us about your business.

Complete all three steps. This application goes to our team inbox; it does not create a public listing or a WordPress account.

Do not include homeowner names, full residential addresses, identity documents or financial account details. Use public links and redacted project summaries; supporting documents can be requested during review.

Before we work together

Questions installers ask.

Need to explain a licence arrangement or ask about a service area? Contact our team.

Does registration guarantee leads?

No. Applying does not guarantee acceptance, referrals, exclusivity or a particular volume of enquiries.

Will my business appear on the site immediately?

No. An application is not a public profile. Listing details and the scope of any verification must be agreed after review.

Can I apply if my company is newer than two years?

You may apply if the owner or technical lead has at least two years of relevant solar experience and can document completed installations. State both the business age and that person’s experience accurately.

Can I use a licensed electrical subcontractor?

Describe the arrangement, identify the contractor and provide the applicable credentials. Whether the arrangement satisfies local requirements depends on your jurisdiction and activities; it is not accepted automatically.

Do you charge a registration or referral fee?

This page does not collect payment. Any referral compensation, charges or other commercial terms must be agreed separately before partnership activation.

Does becoming a partner make me an editorial reviewer?

No. Technical review is a separate role requiring relevant qualifications and an actual review of the specific content. Commercial relationships must be disclosed.
